OBJECTIVES :

To acquire an updated knowledge on planting materials, nursery management, planting and aftercare operations that are required to ensure a vigorously growing plants that possess high production potential combined with other desirable attributes.

CONTENTS :

  • Planting materials: a desirable blend for yield and quality
  • Nursery and nursery techniques (VP and seedling)
  • Agro-climatic considerations in land evaluation exercise for selection of land for new/replanting
  • Planting and aftercare
  • Labour utilization and cost control
  • Economics of replanting and infilling

Rs. 2,500/- per participant (inclusive of lectures, training material and meals & refreshments)

NIPM - Athurugiriya, Regional Centre - Bogawantalawa and respective estates as proposed by Plantation Companies.
