7.1. Service Information

The approval for Displaying Advertisements can be obtained from the Sales and Marketing Manager of Sri Lanka Railways by submitting an application and by paying the due amounts. (Tele: 0112431909/0114600111(Ext: 8235))

7.2. Application/Reservation method of the service

An application form should be submitted. Applications form can be obtained from Sales and Marketing Manager at the Railway Headquarters, Colombo 10 or you can directly download the application (Form 2.7) from the Department website. Applications can be submitted from 09.00 am to 04.00 pm of week days. Otherwise, reservation can be requested by sending a letter giving following details too. For Advertising at Railway Stations Railway Station, Size and Content of the Advertisement, Display duration for advertising outside the Stations

7.3. Payments/Charges to be made for the service

• For Stations between Colombo to Polgahawela - Rs.200.00 per month for per Square feet
• For Stations between Colombo to Aluthgama - Rs.200.00 per month for per Square feet
• For the Stations in other sections - Rs.175.00 per month per Square feet

7.4. Documents to be submitted

No documents required. Submitting the Application giving the necessary information is sufficient.

7.5. Procedure of the service

After receiving the application/letter, the location will be checked to see whether the advertisement can obstruct the Railway Operation. Then the approval will be given by the Sales & Marketing Manager. Then the applicant can pay the due amount to the Paying Counters at the Chief Accountant Office, Railway Headquarters, Colombo 10.
