Registration of Companies Secretaries The Companies Act, No. 17 of 1982
5 Service No.05:
5.1 Eligibility:
Must be a Lawyer
Must be a Chartered Accountant.
Must be a Member of the Association of Charttered Secretaries & Administrators.
Must be a Member of the Institute of Cost & Management Accountants. (CIMA)
Must be a Member of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants.(CMA)
If Applicant is unable to meet the above qualifications, the applicant must have 20 years experience in the Company Secretaries Field.
5.2 Method of submitting application:
5.2.1 Place where application from could be obtained:
Visiting to Department of Registrar of Companies.
5.2.2 Payment for application:
Rs. 20/-
5.2.3 Time to submit application:
Every working day at 8.30 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday 9.00 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.
5.2.4 Fees paying to obtain this service:
Secretaries Individual - Rs. 5,000/- + VAT
Secretaries Firm - Rs. 10,000/- + VAT
5.3 Period taken to provide the Service (Ordinary Service and Priority Service)
Ordinary Service – Within two weeks
5.4 Necessary Supporting documents
If It is Individual Licence Original & Photocopies of certificates relevant to Qualifications mentioned.
If Facing Interview, Provide Service Letter.
If It is Secretary Firm Both Original & Photo copies Individual Secretary Licence & Business Registration Certificate.
If it is Partnership All Parteners Must be have Individua Secretary Licence.
(All Documents Submitted Should be Certified By a Justice of Peace.)
