5.1. Service Information

Holiday Bungalows are available at Nuwara-Eliya and Kataragama. They are reserved by the Ministry of Transport. (Contact: 0112187201)

5.2. Application/Reservation method of the service

An application form should be submitted. Applications can be obtained from the Ministry of Transport. Applications can be submitted from 09.00 am to 04.00 pm of week days. Once the filled application form is handed over, payments can be made to the Ministry of Transport to reserve the bungalows.

5.3. Payments/Charges to be made for the service

• Railway and Transport Ministry Employees - Rs.2000.00 per day
• Other Citizens - Rs.6000.00 per day

5.4. Documents to be submitted

The approval from the Head of the Department is to be forwarded in case of the Departmental Employees. Other citizens must submit the National Identity Card.

5.5. Procedure of the service

If there are no other reservations for the same location on the intended dates of the applicant, reservations can be done within two hours by coming to the Ministry. Payments can be made at the Transport Ministry.
