National Vocational Qualification will be granted in three ways under mention.

These national vocational qualification can be obtain by registering the District offices of the Apprenticeship Training Authority in respect of the following vocations for which Skills Standards have been prepared. These qualifications can be obtained under this scheme from the level NVQ 2 and level 4.

National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Certificate can be obtained by entering in to the training courses at NAITA training centre registered under the tertiary and vocational Education commission(TVEC) Further particulars may be obtain from NAITA.

Who has more than two years experience in any vocation, with or without vocational training may register under the method of RPL and obtain National Vocational Qualification up to level 4.

Eligibility
Since educational qualification to obtain National Vocational Qualification under A and B method mention above. According to the vocation further details may be obtain NAITA District office of National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority or National Institutes.
Education qualification are not considerate under method c to obtain National Vocational Qualification in any vocation experience is considerate more than 2 years.

Places from where application can be obtain
From District Offices, National Apprentice Industrial Training Authority or National Institute for a and b scheme.
District offices, National Apprentice and Industrial Authority for scheme c.

Fees payable for obtaining applications
Free of charge for a and b scheme.
Application can be obtain free of charge and registration fee of 250.00 should be paid , scheme c.

Time for submission
Any working days at office time.

Fees payable for obtaining service
Free of charge for a and b scheme.
Examination fee will be charged for scheme c since the examination fee differ on vocational and level of National Vocational Qualification. These particulars can be obtain from National Apprentice Industrial Training Authority.

Time to be taken for the service
Ordinary service - Examination will be held sequence of registration
Priority service - No special consideration

Supporting documents
Original or certified photo copy of the certificate of employment in support of two years experience in any vocational is required. Photo copy will be need for the scheme c if self employment grama niladhari certificate is needed. (It is preferable to submit CD,video fees copy of certificate at evaluation examination to prove any additional skills.
