Qualifications required

• Qualifications are determined based on the nature of the vacancies existing in factories or institutions.
• The minimum educational qualifications upto the level of grade eight (8) is preferred.
• The candidates should be over nineteen (19) years of age to be eligible to get registered in the “Central Job Bank”.
• Should have educational qualifications upto G. C. E. (O/L) for employment as Machine Operators and Helpers.
• For the post of Quality Checker, the candidates should have educational qualifications upto G. C. E. (A/L).
• For other posts, candidates should possess G. C. E. (A/L) and other relevant professional qualifications with experience in the similar capacity.

Procedure for Submitting of Applications

There is no specific application form for registration with the “Central Job Bank”.

The service of the “Central Job Bank” could be obtained through one of the following.

• Forward a self prepared CV through one of the following methods.

3. Through ordinary Post to;

• Registration through the Job Bank Website, www.jobbank.lk, (this is a convenient & best way to get registered).

The Job-seeker him/herself could register with the Job Bank, and he/she could obtain necessary information on the availability of vacancies as well.
Furthermore, the Job-seeker him/herself could forward his/her application directly to the place where vacancies exist.

Application Fees : No fees charged.

Any time of the day through the channels described above.

Time taken to Provide Services (General and priority services)

• The time taken to secure employment is determined by the number and the nature of vacancies available in companies, and the qualifications of the job seeker.
• Offering of employment by the relevant organizations are at their discretion.
• Calling for interviews are done by the relevant organizations.

Required Documents
At the time of the interview, following documents should be produced, along with photocopies, to prove educational qualifications, identity and work experience.

• Birth certificate,
• Educational certificates,
• Work experience certificates (If any),
• Grama Niladari’s certificate,
• National Indentity Card or any equalent.
