Eligibility
any local seed producer or importer

Procedure for applying
(i) request the DD(SCS) by letter/ email with detail information.
(ii) after the approval of the DD, SCS officer will draw the sample and fill the lab test requested form.
(iii) The sample will be tested at SCS seed testing laboratories

Time of submission the request
During office hours

Fees for obtaining the service
Rs 460/= per sample for importers
Rs 345/= per sample (full test) for local producers
Rs 57/50 for moisture test only
Rs 172/50 for germination test only

Documents in proof
Importer should produce all related documents when drawn a sample (ex: Import permit, phytosanitory certificate, ISTA reports, BOL proof of origin, packing list, etc)

Time taken to provide the service
within 2 weeks after submitting the sample to the lab.
