Eligibility

Renewal of Repairers License
Applicable to the individual/agency concerned who is a Repair license holder registered with Measurement Units, Standards and Services Department.

Renewal of Manufacturers License
Applicable to the manufacturer/company who is a manufacturing license holder registered with the Measurement Units, Standards and Services Department.

Renewal of Seller License
Applicable to the retailer/seller registered with the Measurement Units, Standards and Services Department.

Submission Procedure

Renewal of Repairers License

Obtain an Application Form
The license holder would receive the Application Form via Mail the Measurement Units, Standards and Services Department.

Support Documents required
No support documents are required

Hand over application form
The applicant must fill the application form and submit it to the Department Officer


Renewal of Manufacturers License

Obtain an Application Form
The license holder would receive the Application Form via Mail after informing the Measurement Units, Standards and Services Department

Support Documents required
No support documents are required

Hand over application form
The applicant must fill the application form and submit it to the Department Officer.


Renewal of Sellers License

Obtain an Application Form
The seller license holder would receive the Application Form via Mail after informing the Measurement Units, Standards and Services Department.

Support Documents required
No support documents are required

Hand over Application Form
The applicant must fill the Application Form and submit it to the Department Officer.


Renewal of Repaires License

Step-by-Step Procedure:
Step 1: Department sends renewal Application Form to registered repair license holder.
Step 2: On submission of filled renewal Application Form to the Department, the Department issues the renewed license to the applicant
Note: If the Department does not receive a response in 6 months, the Department will send a reminder. If there is no response, the matter is forwarded to Director to take necessary action


Renewal of Manufacturers License

Step-by-Step Procedure:
Step 1: Department sends renewal Application Form to registered manufacturing license holders.
Step 2: On submission of filled renewal Application Form to the Department, the Department issues the renewed license to the applicant.

Renewal of Repaires License
Applicant can get the license within a period of 3 months.

Submit Application Form:
Working days – Monday to Friday
Counter open hours – 8.30 am to 4.15 pm
Holidays – All Public and Mercantile Holidays

Validity Timeline
The renewed repair license is valid for a period of one year after which the license must be renewed annually.


Renewal of Manufacturing License
Applicant can get the license within 3 months

Counter open hours – 8.30 am to 4.15 pm
Holidays – All Public and Mercantile Holidays

Any person not being registered by the Director, shall be guilty of an offence and be liable to a fine not exceeding Rs. 1,000/= or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to both such fine and imprisonment.
