Procedure
Step 1: Importer obtains Application Form from Unit 4/5.
Step 2: The applicant fills the Application Form.
Step 3: The Request letter is obtained from the relevant authority.
Step 4: Application Form is submitted to Unit 4/5 with support documents.
Step 5: The Head of the Division examines the documents handed over.
Step 6: Applicant pays license fees to the Cashier.
Step 7: License is issued by Unit 4/5.

Validity Period for Imports is 06 months
Validity Period for items that require clearance from the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources is decided by the Ministry.
Costs Related to the Service
Application Form: There is no fee to obtain Application Form
Cost:
Penalties: If Importations are done without obtaining license, 3 % – 10 % of the value of the goods exported will be charged as a fine. Percentage will be decided by the Controller.
Surcharge: Not applicable
