Process of Submitting Applications
No form has been prescribed. On receipt of the EMS good, at the Colombo Centre, Custom Officers will supervise and retain the good for which custom charges are to be effected and the remaining items will be delivered to addresses. Article addressed to the Central Province and the Southern Province will be referred to Kandy and Galle Post Offices where customs clearance divisions are available.

Fees Payable for Obtaining Application Forms: No fee is charged.

Time During Which Goods are to be Submitted: From 9:00 a.m. ot 4:30 p.m.

Fees Payable for Obtaining the Service
According to Customs Officers if the goods are not cleared before the date mentioned in the Custom Notice, a go down charge of Rs. 25.00 per day from the date mentioned in the notice will be charged in addition to the normal charges.

Time Taken to Provide the Service (Ordinary service and Priority Service)
10-15 minutes from the time of taking over at the counter.

Supporting Documents Required
National Identity Card issued by the Department for Registration of Persons or the Passport
A representative may come when the addressee is unable to be present. In such a case a letter of authority should be produced.
