Within a short time of about 05 minutes after handing over the item to the post office counter.

Exceptions or Instances Outside the Above Requirements and Special Information
Action will be taken on complaints and enquiries received from the public on any postal article. Complaints submitted in writing in regard to contents of a parcel or damage to any item will be accepted for necessary action. Wrapper of the item and other proofs, if available, should be produced. In case of an express letter, the registered number and the date given by the Post Office, if produced, will b e helpful.

Specimen Application Form: There is no prescribed form. Furnish particulars of the letter in writing.
