It is vital to get information disclosed on archives which have not been discovered by the Archives and Numismatics Division. Thereby it is possible to expand this subject and to widen the limit for research and study on them.
Outside Information If public organizations, officers in charge of archaeological sites or members of the public come to know whatever information on epigraphy or coins, they may intimate such information to the Director General of Archaeology or Director / Assistant Director (Epigraphy and Numismatics). Such intimation may include particulars relating to epigraphy such as the province, district , Divisional Secretary’s division, Grama Seva Niladhari’s division, Village, place and if possible the directions on access road. (Form 1.1) Disclosure of Information Through Research Data Information required for conducting research on epigraphy and coins to fulfill their educational needs can be provided to schools, universities, post-graduate institutions and other higher educational institutions.It is possible to study the published books and to make use of library facilities for research purposes. Here too the procedure mentioned above should be followed.
