Thumbowila Cemetery

Eligibility: Any person of the island is eligible for interment of Ashes

Process of Submitting Applications:
The cemetery should be reserved by forwarding a written request to the Secretary of the Council stating the relevant purpose.

Places From Where Applications can be Obtained:
Miscellaneous Revenue Clerk I of the Kesbawa Urban Council on 5 week days between 9:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.

Fees Payable for Obtaining Application: Not relevant.

Hours for Submitting Application
For payment of relevant fees – 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

For reservation of Slots
For cemeteries within Thumbowila area - Rs.5000.00 + VAT
For cemeteries outside Thumbowila - Rs.10000.00 + VAT
( for a land area of 2 x 2)

Time Taken for the Service (Ordinary Service and Priority Service)

Supporting Document Required
A written request about the relevant matter should be made to the Secretary of the Urban Council.
The death certificate should be produced.
