Plant Production-Plants are produces in the Forest Department nurseries or private nurseries which are registered under the Forest Department. Forest Department nurseries are managed by the Divisional level.

2.7.1.Requirements-No special requirements. Requests should be made to the relevant officer in charge of the nurseries. (Nursery details are in section 2.7.9 and request should be made to the places mentioned in Annex 01)

2.7.2.Process of forwarding an application from : No specific application procedure

2.7.2.1.Place of obtaining application forms: Not applicable

2.7.2.2.Payment that has to be made to obtain an application form: Not applicable

2.7.2.3.Payment that has to be made to obtain plants/services :
According the plant salable prices (section 2.7.10) payments should be made to the responsible officer in nurseries and receipt will be issued for the payments.

2.7.2.4.Opening time of the plant sale centers:
From 9.00 am to 3.00 p.m of the working days (except weekends and public holidays of the week.)

2.7.3.Duration that takes to provide the particular service :
As soon as payments are made services will be provided.

2.7.4.Required documents:

2.7.6.Situations deviate from above requirements and special information ;
If there is a written request with the acceptable planting and maintenance programme to obtain the plants for tree planting programs in Schools, Government Organizations or any public places a limited number of plants will be issued freely and progress will be monitored.
If any special requests of plants for large quantity or unavailable plants in the nurseries, request should be made at the beginning of the financial year to have enough time for the plant production and advance payment should be given as plant production cost.
