Training (Domestic) Division

Aim:
Produce a skillful trained workforce for overseas employment by implementing and conducting training programmes to achieve the Vision and Mission of the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment and improve the quality of SLBFE.

Training programmes conducted by the Training Division:

•Housekeeping Assistant Course for Middle East Countries – 40 days
•Caregiver Training Programme (Singapore, Hong Kong, Cyprus, Maldives, Malaysia) – 35 days
•Caregiver Training Programme (Israel) – 45 days
•RPL Training Programme – 10 days
•Literacy Training Programme (Sinhala/Tamil – 18 days) (English 120hours)

Recruitment of Trainees:

Applicants should complete the application form available at the Training Division. The following requirements should also be fulfilled –
1.Height should be more than 4.5 feet
2.Visible front teeth without any defect
3.Pleasant appearance
4.National Identity Card (NIC) and a certified copy of the NIC
5.If applicant is over 50 years of age – medical report obtained for visa is required
6.If the applicant is migrating through a licensed recruitment agents – relevant documents are required

For the training programme, the course fee, uniform fee and NVQ Examination fee are to be paid by the applicant.

Service could be obtained –

On working days – Monday to Friday
From the Training Division or Training Centers – from 8.30a.m. to 16.30 p.m.
Closed on – Public and Mercantile Holidays

Enrollment Process:
i.An application form should be obtained from the Training Division of SLBFE in Thalahena or any of the decentralized SLBFE Training Centers
ii.Submit the application form along with the required documents to the Training Division or any of the SLBFE Training Centers
iii.Once all documents have been submitted and the course fee is paid, trainees are enrolled to the training programme conducted at SLBFE Training Centers
iv.Training programmes are commenced on scheduled dates at Training Centers
v.On the final day of the training programme, the final list is forwarded to the Training (Domestic) Division from Training Centers. Once the list is checked, the details of the trainees are Confirmed in the computer system
vi.The training certificate is issued to trainees who successfully complete the training programme
vii.The NVQ examination is held on 03 days
viii.The NVQ Level III Certificate is issued by TVEC to trainees who passes the NVQ examination
ix.On completion of the 40 days training programme the trainee becomes eligible to obtain the SLBFE registration
