Introducing standards to school children transportation services
National Child Protection Authority has initiated a programme to register private transportation services for school children to minimize child abuse incidents in relation to school transportation services. Owners, drivers and assistants of these vehicles are registered under this programme. Also the running condition of the relevant vehicle will be inspected. Authority issues a certificate and a sticker to the suitable vehicles to transport school children after thorough examination of relevant documents and the condition of the vehicle.
All the school vans which have obtained registration in National Child Protection Authority should exhibit this sticker, in their vehicles.


How you can register your vehicle?

  1. You should be an owner/driver of a vehicle which functions as a school children transportation service. �
  2. Should submit the duly filled application form to the National Child Protection Authority.
  3. Registration fee is Rs. 150 (It includes documentation expenses and initial training on “how you can prevent child abuse”.)
  4. Following documents of the owner of the vehicle, driver and the assistant and the relevant vehicle/vehicles should be submitted for examination.
    • Police certificate
    • National ID card/s of the driver and the assistant
    • Vehicle license (Revenue license, insurance)
    • Driving license
  5. Suitable vehicles will be issued with the certificate and the sticker on the examination day itself.
  6. Registration time between 9.00 AM to 3.00 PM during weekdays.
