Sending a Gift to a Friend or a Relative in Sri Lanka

  • If you want to send a gift to a friend or a relative in Sri Lanka , either you can send it by post or you can hand it over to the agent of the un-accompanied passenger baggage(UPB) warehouse in your country or any other courier service which serves Sri Lanka. you may be required to follow the customs formalities in your country for this.
  • the recipient is required to pay customs duty for the items. Items sent in commercial quantities may require to follow the normal customs import clearance procedure in Sri Lanka.
