Eligibility
- When the actual value of the imported items exceeds the value mentioned in the pro-forma invoice, the difference in licensing fees should be paid on the spot.
- Only for sports activities.
Note: If the import value exceeds the value mentioned in the invoice, the balance should be paid immediately.
Support Documents Required
- Three (3) copies of pro-forma invoices
- Invoice obtained from Cashier
- A photocopy of the NIC
- Clearance letter from the Ministry of Defence
- A letter to the Ministry of Defence by the applicant

Procedure
Step 1: Importer hands over all support documents to Unit 02.
Step 2: Unit 02 examines the documents against licensing details.
Step 3: Debiting the imported motor cycles with the approval of the Assistant Controller.
Step 4: Hand over the debit documents to the importer with one copy being kept with the Department for office use.
Note:
- If the importer has violated licensing conditions, additional licensing fees will be charged by the Assistant Controller.
- If, due to any reasons, the import value exceeds the license value, the additional amount will be charged with the approval of the Controller of Imports and Export.
- If the impot time line does not tally with the license period, the applicant should submit a letter making a request for an amended license.
- If the imported motor bicycle do not tally with the license for motor bicycles, an amended license should be obtained.

Validity Time Line : The validity period for this service is 03 months.
Costs Related to the Service
Cost: No cost involved in obtaining Application Forms
Fee: Fee would be 0.1 % of the CIF value
Penalties
- If the real value of the exported items exceeds the value stated in the invoice the difference should be settled then and there.
- If imports have been made without licenses, a fee amounting to 5%-10% of the CIF value will be charged from the applicant. The value will be decided by the Controller.
