Two book-stalls are maintained by the Department of Cultural Affairs to provide books to the public on nominal fee which were? printed and published by the Department after purchasing from writers on monetary assistance scheme to provide the writers 10% royalty for the books purchased. These two book stalls are situated at Department of Cultural Affairs, 8th Floor, Sethsiripaya, Battaramulla and National Art Gallery Premises, Ananda Coomaraswamy Mawatha, Colombo 07, (Jayanthi Bookshop).? Very valuable and important books compiled by Sinhala Encyclopaedia Office and Sinhala Dictinary Office – under the purview of Department of Cultural Affairs can be bought from these two stalls at reasonable prices.
