Development Assistance to Ginger and Turmeric

Under the “Api Wawamu Rata Nagamu” Programme.

  • For Cluster Village Systems.
  • For other Lands

Assistance will be provided for purchasing seed materials of above 2 crops

Extent to be Cultivated

  • For the cluster village systems, when 3 kg of seed ginger or more is cultivated, the cultivator will be eligible to obtain the development assistance.
  • For the lands not under the cluster village systems, minimum cultivated area must be1/8Ac.

Providing Investment Assistance

  • For Ginger Rs. 60.00 per 01kg of seed ginger
  • For Turmeric Rs. 30.00 per 01kg of seed turmeric.
  • Assistance will be granted up to 625kg of ginger up to 750kg of turmeric seed materials
  • This assistance could be obtained only once.
