Eligibility




Any individual / organization that use Measures and weighing or Measuring Instruments belonging to the following measurement categories are eligible for this service.

(a) Calibration of Thermometers, moisture meters, ovems

(b) Calibration of Weights

(c) Calibration of Balances

(d) Calibration for linear measures ruler 1 m or part thereof, vernier calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks.

(e) Calibration of stop watches

(f) Calibration of Electrical Measuring Instruments:
- Multimeter
-Voltmeter
-Ammeter
-Ohmmeter

(g) Calibration of Volumetric measures
(h)Calibration of pressure gauges.
(i) Radar equipment for the measure is the speed of vehicles.

 

Submission Procedure

Submit Request Letter

-?A request letter must be addressed to the Director of the Department.

-?The party concerned must indicate in the letter the type and details of the measuring instrument, calibrating needs and the rate of accuracy of the instrument.

Step-by-Step Procedure:

Step 1: The Individual/Organization should send a letter of request to the Director of the Department. The letter should indicate the type and details of the measuring instrument, calibrating needs and the rate of accuracy of the instrument.

Step 2: The Department informs the individual/organization to submit the instrument.

Step 3: The individual/organization then submits the instrument and the Department inspects it.

Step 4: If the instrument can be calibrated, it is calibrated and is returned to individual/organization with the calibration certificate upon receipt of payment.

Note: If instrument cannot be calibrated, the Department notifies the party concerned via phone, fax or e-mail and the Instrument is returned to the individual/organization
