Registration as a Newspaper in the Department of Posts

Eligibility
A newspaper or a magazine printed as published in Sri Lanka and which has been registered at the Department of Archives.

Process of Submitting Applications

Places From Where Application can be Obtained
Post Master general office No. 30, D.R. Wigewardena Mawatha, Colombo 100

Fees Payable for Obtaining Applications: No fee is charged

Time for Submission of Applications: From 8:30 a.m to 4:15 p.m.

Fees Payable for Obtaining the Service: Rs. 2500.00 annually

Time Taken for Providing the Service (Ordinary Service): A period from 05 to 10 days

Supporting Documents Required
Letter in support of registration at the Department of Archives, the list of subscribers and letters in support of the registration of the establishment concerned as a business establishment.
