Requirements
1. Applicant should not be an offender for an offence under the Forest Ordinance
2. Business premises should be located beyond the aerial distance mentioned in the following table that is measured from forests.

2.1.2. Process of forwarding an application
2.1.2.1. Places of obtaining and submitting application forms, counter and time
Place of obtaining application: Head Office, No: 82, Rajamalwatta Road, Battaramulla. RDCF Office (North - Western / Western), No: 60, Akuregoda Rd, Pelawatta, Battaramulla. RDCF Office (Uva - Central), Udupussalawa Rd, NuwaraEliya. RDCF Office (South - Sabaragamuwa), Dharmapala Mawatha, Rathnapura. RDCF Office(North - North central), Metta Mawatha, Kada Panaha, Anuradhapura & all the Divisional Forest Office of the Forest Department.
2.1.2.2. Payment that has to be made to: No payment has to be made to obtain an application form
2.1.2.3. Time of submitting application :From 9.00 a.m to 3.00 p.m on any form working day of the week

2.1.3 Time duration that is required to provide :Within 06 week after that service (General services and priority service)submitting an application with all necessary document.
2.1.4. Required documents
1. Duly completed application form (F.D 203 - 95)
2. Report of the respective divisional secretary recommending registration
3. A photocopy of the receipt obtained by paying taxes to the respective Provincial Government institute.
4.A photocopy of the valid Environment protection license issued by the Central Environmental Authority/ Local Authority
5.Documents to prove ownership of the land

2.1.6. Situations that deviate from above requirements and special information
- Above distance limits will not be applicable when the extent of state owned forests or forest plantations are less than 10 ha.
- Traditional carpentry sheds registered under the National Craft Council Specimen application form
