World Trade Organization (WTO) Reference Centre

Introduction

The WTO Reference Centre was established in Colombo by the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the International Trade Centre (ITC) in October 2005. It is hosted by the Department of Commerce (DOC) as the trade-policy arm of the Ministry of Export Development and International Trade and the national focal point of the WTO.

The WTO Reference Centre is a modern information centre equipped with computers, Internet access, and a range of tools and publications. The Centre is open to interested persons seeking a better understanding of the Multilateral Trading System (MTS) and its implications.

It is part of a network of about 160 WTO Reference Centres established around the world.
