Eligibility

30% pre-benefits will be paid from Employees’ provident fund for housing purposes or medical treatments.

• Should be presently employed
• Contributions to the Employees’ provident fund should have been made for a period not less than 10 years
• Should possesses not less than three hundred thousand rupees to the credit of the member’s EPF account

Method of submitting application

Places where application form could be obtained:-

Relevant application can be obtained by handing over duly completed Eligibility application form to 30% payment division on 5^th floor of the Head office or to any zonal labour office. Website: labourdept.gov.lk

Time to submit application:-

Completed application form should, by the member himself/herself, be handed over to zonal labour office of the residence area, during office hours of a working day.

No service charge

Period taken to provide the Service (Ordinary Service and Priority Service)

Time may vary on the number of applications received by the office (Normally 03 weeks if all documents are completed)

Necessary Supporting documents

Application certified by the last employer and other documents mentioned in the instruction sheet according to the purpose. (You will be informed on other necessary documents at the time of issuing application form)

If there are shortcomings in the documents, such matters can be discussed with the Deputy Commissioner of Labour or Assistant Commissioner of Labour of the Labour office to which the application is handed over.
