Obtain of Grants Without Conditions to the people Who had been Issued with Grants with Conditions, Under the Land Redemption Ordinance

Eligibility

  • Allotees possessing these lands on the permits/grants given to there lands
  • In the absence of the original residents of these lands, ownership of such lands being claimed by the second, third generation.
  • Successors or in their alliance, selecting a person mentioned in the 3rd schedule of the land development ordinance, after the inspection by the Divisional Secretary.

Method of Submitting Application:

  1. Submitting application indicating willingners to pay outright, payment due from any land beneficiary.
  2. Divisional Secretary to verify the amount payable and send recommendation in form ‘?.??1’ (L.R.1). Accordingly it should be checked with the files in the head offices and to inform about the accuracy of the amount.
  3. This amount should be collected from the beneficiary of the land and credited to the relevant expenditure head. Form ‘Genaral 118’ to the completed and the survey requisition to the sent so that the grant could be issued.
  4. The superindentant of Surveys to send the diagram of the relevant land to the land commissioner general (to prepare the grant under the land redemption ordinance)

Fees Paying to Obtain This Service:
Since this is state revenue, the assessed amount would be the amount spent by the state to acquire this land. 4% of interest would be calculated on this amount (from the you’re the land was handed over to the original allottee and upto the year the present applicant requested to release the land) and added to the amount spent by the state and from this amount the lease and interest amount paid to the state, calculated according to the ledger incharge of the Divisional Secretary will be deducted and the balance amount will be collected from the allottee. In addition, a service charge and priority service)

Period Taken to Provide the Service (Ordinary Service and Priority Service): A period of 02 months

Necessary Supporting Documents

  • Birth Certificate or Affidavit declaration should be submitted to prove relationship
  • The allottee should handover the old diagram issued for the relevant land to the divisional secretary when paying the assessed amount.
