Reverse Repurchase Agreement by Bank of Ceylon

The customer can borrow short term funds from the bank under reverse re- purchase agreement against Treasury Bills and Treasury Bonds

  • Minimum Lending Amount– Rs. 5 Million.
  • Rate of Interest-Prevailing market rate.
  • Period-The customer can decide depending on his cash requirements..
    Eg. Overnight(I.e from today to tomorrow),1 week,2weeks,1month,2 months etc.
  • The customer will assign a treasury bill or a Treasury bond in the name of the bank for the tenor of the transaction as a security.
