Advising Letter of Credit.
BOC has correspondent banking relationship with over 700 reputed banks all over the world.Therefore the importers in other countries can access Bank of Ceylon easily.Therefore when your letters of credit are adviced through Bank of Ceylon you can save your costs and time as your documents are directly sent through one bank.
 

Adding Confirmation
As Bank of Ceylon has an extensive net work of international correspondent banking relationship we are in a position to add confirmation to L/C s established by many overseas banks giving an additional guarantee to the exporter,eliminating the payment risk.

Purchasing of Export Bills.
Your Buyer may not always agree to carry out his trade transactions through Letters of Credit in which event your obtaining payments will be differed.Bank of Ceylon could help you to obtain part or full proceeds of such bills upfront by purchasing your documents to meet your immediate cash needs.

Collection Bills
Export bills received(under L/C or not under L/C )are handled expeditiously and forwarded to the issuing/presenting bank against acceptance or payment basis.

Handling of Duty Rebates
The claims of the exporters to obtain duty reimbursement under the scheme introduced by the Sri Lanka Customs(Gazette Notification No 1053/12) are handled by the bank.

Pre Shipment Facilities.
When a export order is received by a customer he may need financial facility to produce goods for shipment.
BOC will provide financial facilities to customers to meet working capital, raw materials and other direct cost.
