2.5.Issuing of Trans port permit for Furniture

1.Should be made of timber other than Ebony or Calamander
2.Should have a receipt from a timber depot registered under the forest Department for the relevant year to prove that those are purchased items of Satin, Nadun & Sandal wood.

2.5.2.Process of forwarding the application form: (Places of obtaining and submitting application forms and time)

2.5.2.1.Places of obtaining application forms: Forest department Office (Adjacent to Sri Lanka Telecom Office) at Galle road, Ratmalana & Other Range Forest Office

2.5.2.2.Payment that has to be made to obtain an Application form : No payment has to be made

2.5.2.3. Submission of application forms : From 9.00 am to 4.00 pm on any day of the week except holidays

2.5.2.4.Payment that has to be made to obtain the service

2.5.3 .Duration that takes to provide the particular: Soon after submitting the Service (General & Priority) application form.
2.5.3.Required document:
1.Completed application form
2.Bill/ Receipt to prove purchasing

2.5.5.Staff Officer in charge

All Regional Deputy Conservator of Forests Officers, all Divisional Forest officers and Range Forest officers.

2.5.6.Situation that deviate from above requirements and special information:

1. No permit is required to transport furniture made of timber species and in areas that have been removed from the requirements of obtaining permit to transport by Gazette Extra ordinary No. 1548/29 of 09^th May 2008 and No: 1762/1 11^th June 2012.
2. Time limit 4.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m.
