2.10.1.Requirement

2.10.Process of forwarding application forms / requests.
No specific application form.
When planting programmes are arranged by any other body they can buy plants from the Forest Department nurseries and necessary technical advices will be provided free of charge by the Forest Department.
If Forest Department involve in the tree planting programme plants also provided freely but written request with details of planting programme including place, purpose, responsible agencies for planting and maintenance should be submit to the Head Office or Divisional Offices. ( Annex 01)

2.10.2.3.Time of submitting the request/application form:
To obtain plants free of charge requests should be made at least 2 weeks prior to the desired date. Officers are available from 8.30 am to 4.15 p.m of the working days (except weekends and public holidays of the week.)

As per requested and the weather conditions

2.10.6.Situation that deviate from above requirements and special information:
- If there is a written request with the acceptable planting and maintenance programme to obtain the plants for tree planting programmes in schools, government organizations or any public places a limited number of plants will be issued freely. Planting progress will be monitored by the responsible officers.
- If any special request of plants (for large quantities or unavailable plants in the nurseries) request should be made earlier to have enough time for the plant production and advance payments should be given as plant production cost.
