Introduction to the Programme

There are many vacancies available in the job / labour market. Comparatively most jobs are available in the private sector institutions than in government organizations. Therefore this programme is targeted for filling vacancies in the private sector organizations with their fullest support.

Objective of the Programme

To provide on-the-job training for the unemployed youths, who sat for the O/L or A/L examinations and for recent school leavers. These youths are placed for on-the-job trainings at selected and agreed private sector organizations under the supervision of the Department of Manpower & Employment. Youths will be focused to get higher / top level positions in the organizations. At the end of the training most of interns are absorbed by the institutions to highly- paid jobs.

Selection Criteria

1. She/he must have sat for O/L or A/L examination.

2. Those who willing to get employment opportunity in the private sector organization.

3. Interested in getting experience in the world of work.

Activities of the programme

The programme is scheduled for four days.

1. The day first - Direct beneficiaries to gain understanding with their parents.

2. The day second  - Introduction to the technologies of the factories / industries.

3. The day third - Introduction on factories.

4. The day four - Job placement of beneficiaries.
