Conducting research on continuous basis to find out sutable substitutes for raw materials to reduce manufacturing cost and thereby making handicraft products more competitive in the local and international market.Research findings will be published in the web site and other publications on handicrafts.In this endeavor NDC shall work with the Sri Lankan Universities and other research institutes in Sri Lanka and abroad. The necessary technical support will be provided to craftsmen to overcome problems encounterd during their production processes.
