GSMB undertakes core drilling investigations for Engineering Geology related projects which include geotechnical investigations for small to large scale dams, tunnels, canals, etc., of hydropower and irrigation projects, foundation investigations to check ground stability for buildings, roads and other related projects.
In addition, GSMB also undertakes core drilling investigations to study subsurface configuration of mineral occurrences and their lateral and vertical extensions. 
GSMB has sufficient drilling machines to perform drilling investigations up to 300m below the surface.
In addition, hand and power auguring machines are also available with GSMB to conduct mineral and other related investigations within the overburden cover.
