Action is taken an archaeological monuments and numerous antiquities scattered throughout Sri Lanka and on problems that arise in regard to them as well as on various documents referred to by the public and various institution. Information as regards mining a quarry should be intimated to the Department of Archaeology through the Divisional Secretariat Concerned. An Archaeological Officer well than inspect the vicinity of the quarry and will grant or refused permission for quarrying with certain recommendation. The Department of Archaeology will change a sum of Rs. 1000.00 as cost of the inspection. This inspection is to be done every year. Officers Who Maintain District Files
