Eligibility :

• Be a Sri Lankan
• A foreigner who invests in Sri Lanka (having a registered company in Sri Lanka)
• Should not be a government officer.
• Should not be a mentally retarded, disable, or a person convicted by a court of law.

Applications issued on free of charge.

Time to submit application:-

  During working hours.

Fees paying to obtain this service:-

  Fees depends on category of mining License.

Period taken to provide the Service (Ordinary Service and Priority Service)

When completed necessary documents and approval from the other institutes.

Necessary Supporting documents

It depends on type of permit.
1. Deed of land / deed of lease
2. Plan of land
3. If held by a government establishment, its recommendation
4. Report of the Divisional Secretary.
5. Any other recommendation as mentioned in section 30 of mines and mineral Act no.33 of 1992.
